'We were not good enough today but I'm really proud of the team and how we played from game one. India captain Rohit Sharma: 'The result has not gone our way, we know that. We thought 300 might be tough but achievable on that wicket.' We were really chuffed with 240 because we were happy with anything under 300. We've got ageing squad but we are still throwing ourselves around. We were desperate in the field, I thought it all started against South Africa last week. On his own bowling and the fielding: 'There was some variable bounce so we thought a couple of catches on the leg side. It didn't particularly spin as much as we thought either but I thought everyone adjusted well and bowled some tight lines.' On the pitch: 'It was a little slower than I thought. We've been batting first for most of the tournament but we thought tonight was a good chase night because it felt it might a little bit easier and everyone was pretty keen to get out there.'
Australia captain Pat Cummins: 'We saved our best for last and a couple of big-match players stood up and we're pretty chuffed.'
